   Our Beliefs

Knowing the one true God

We believe there is only one God who has revealed himself in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is the creator and upholder of all things. He can be known in a personal way through his Son, Jesus Christ.

The uniqueness of Jesus

We believe that Jesus Christ, God’s Son was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, taught and demonstrated the truth with miracles and wonders. We believe he died on the cross, shedding his blood as a payment for our sins, rose again the third day and ascended into heaven.

Receiving salvation

We believe that all people are sinners needing forgiveness from God and salvation through Jesus Christ. Anyone who repents of their sin and puts their faith in Jesus will be forgiven by God, receive everlasting new life and a change of heart.

The Power of the Spirit

We welcome the moving of the Holy Spirit who helps believers live a life of holiness, fills them with power to witness to Christ, gives special abilities and enables them to speak in unknown languages as a means of expressing prayer and praise to God. The Holy Spirit gives special gifts of power to enable believers continue in the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.

The Holy Bible

We Believe that the Bible is God’s inspired Word and is the full authority for faith and practice for all Christians. The Scriptures and the power of the Spirit are the main ways that God guides and strengthens believers.

Believer’s baptism

We believe that every Christian should publicly acknowledge their Lord and Saviour by being baptised (immersed) in water. This is a sign of our obedience to Christ, that we have put away our old sinful life and have been raised to a new life in Christ

Keeping the Lord’s supper

We believe in regularly celebrating the Lord’s supper. In this way we express our ongoing commitment to Christ and our faith in his blood for our salvation.

Praise and worship

We believe that the right response to knowing God’s presence is to worship him in Spirit and truth. It can include singing, clapping or lifting hands, dancing and music. It can also be quiet and full of reverence to an awesome God.

What the future holds

We believe that it is appointed once to die but after this the judgement (Hebrews 9:27). This judgement by God determines whether we will go to Heaven or whether we will go to Hell. Moreover we believe that one day Jesus Christ will come again to this earth in great glory and power.
